Since discovering Chashama in 2010, Lydia has held a range of roles at the organization, from Executive Assistant to Development & Finance Associate to General Manager – providing her with a deep understanding of Chashama’s mission, capacity, and potential for growth. As General Manager, Lydia oversaw Chashama’s office, human resources, finances, and internal and external policies, and provided supervision and support in development, event and project management.
In 2016, Lydia left Chashama to join The Durst Organization, where she currently manages corporate operations, business logistics, and office procurement as their Asst. Manager of Office Operations, while continuing to support Chashama as a member of the Board of Directors. A creative problem solver who excels at ‘wearing many hats’ while balancing budgets, time, and space with an unusual delight in data and analytics, Lydia holds a dual-BA in Art History and Business Management from SUNY Stony Brook, an Associate’s Degree in Merchandising and Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology, a Certificate of Data Visualization from the University of Washington, speaks ein bisschen Deutsch, and has also served as Treasurer on the Coney Island USA Board of Directors.
