Amanda M Johnson

Programs Manager

Amanda M. Johnson is a multidisciplinary curator and arts professional from the South Bronx, NYC. She holds a B.A. in Fine Art and Business from Earlham College and an M.F.A. in Photography from Parsons School of Design. Her work spans curatorial practice, arts administration, and digital programming, with a strong focus on community engagement and underrepresented artists.

Amanda has led major curatorial and project management efforts across the U.S. and internationally, collaborating with institutions such as the Museum of the City of New York and David Zwirner. She has contributed to exhibitions at Art Basel, Frieze, Photoville, and the Pingyao International Photography Festival, among others. Her practice explores the intersections of art, culture, and heritage—often blending digital innovation with storytelling and public access.

With a deep background in art sales, operations, and strategy, Amanda has also worked with galleries and organizations to streamline production, build artist-focused programs, and grow audiences through SEO and digital marketing. She’s taught photography, art history, and professional practices at Parsons School of Design, Earlham College, and the New York Arts Program.
