From chashama & Residencies Unlimited 2011 RFP:

10,000 sq. ft. Industrial Space Available for Select Theater Group!

chashama and Industry City are looking for an innovative theater group to rehearse and put on productions in a warehouse space in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The space is ten thousand sq ft with 20 foot ceilings.

Timeline & Conditions:

chashama will provide technical assistance in an advisory capacity only; selected applicants must be capable of installing, teching and de-installing their own projects.

chashama will assist artists with creating and distributing a press release.

Selected applicants will be required to sign a license agreement and pay a fully-refundable security deposit.

This space, in Building 9, 4th floor, section “B”, was programmed by chashama as a residency space for small theater groups in 2011.

(Another space at this complex on 220 36th Street, was used by chashama and the Durst Organization, March 11, 2011 for the screening of the documentary film, “The Wrecking Crew”.)
