The 443 West 127th Street windowfront was ideal for an interactive window performance, as the windows/ doors open to the street and performers could move between window and sidewalk (though the audience was not allowed in the venue).  The large windows and depth of the space also worked well for installations.

The size of this space varied with availability due to construction and/or conversion of parts of the property to commercial rentals. Accordingly, the address listed for chashama events was at times, “439 West 127th Street” when referring to the more easterly windows.

Also, this area had held 12 studio spaces (the “East Wing”) before construction towards commercial use began in 2012.
