Sarah Jacobs
 

Sarah Jacobs is a New York artist located in West Harlem. Her work has been exhibited nationally and in Europe and she has taken part in artist residencies in Grimma, Germany and Cali, Colombia. She has won multiple arts grants and her work can be found in public and private collections in the US and UK. She is a core member of We Make America, an artist group in New York City that creates visual statements in support of social justice causes. She acts as co-chair of finance for the organization.

Jacobs moved back to the USA in 2014 after 3 years living in London and Bristol, UK where she became a naturalized British citizen. Born in 1984 in West Virginia, Jacobs was raised in Littlestown, Pennsylvania. She was educated in Art History at Gettysburg College and received her MFA from the Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore in 2010. From 2014 – 2016 she taught art at the University of Maryland and Gettysburg College and she was represented during that period by RandallScottProjects in Baltimore.
