The objects we carry through our lives fascinate me, and I aim to better understand why and how we give materials meaning. I create sculptures, paintings, and videos relating to the idea of the “significant object” using recylced packaging, cardboard, and wrappers – materials that are considered disposable, yet play a vital role in contemporary life. Through creating art out of what is considered garbage I aim to highlight the varied processes through which objects acquire meaning.
