Theater for a Big Country presents the absolutely ridiculous new musical comedy that should be required viewing for theatre lovers as well as any English Lit. Major who does not want to do a lick of work.  Irreverently based on Oedipus, The Metamorphosis and Hamlet, yet true to the stories, the show presents these 3 classic tales in a hyperactive (and cheerfully profane) hour and a half musical romp:

"Oedipus Rocks" lampoons Sophocles's tragic tale of a King bound by his fate to sleep with his mother, murder his father, and bring about the demise of his kingdom.
"A Giant Bug's Life" spoofs Kafka's tale of alienation about a man who wakes up changed into a bug.
Finally, "Zany Danes" retells the Bard's classic about the young prince who just can't manage to make any decisions, in a way that has never been seen before. Seriously.

Performed by a live band, musical numbers include "It's Baby-Killin' Time," "That Darn Sphinx," "The Gods Must Be Lazy," "I Am the Very Model of a Guy Who Makes a Horrible Faux Pas and Then Does a Bad Job of Covering It," "Bug Medley (I'm a Giant Bug / Are You Really a Giant Bug? / I lost My Job Because I'm a Giant Bug)," "Oh, Oh, Ophelia", and "The Ballad of Why I'm Here and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Aren't," among over 30 others.
