Unbound
Adi Oren
Unbound is a solo exhibition of New York-native artist Adi Oren. The show consists of six large-scale immersive acrylic paintings on canvas. In this body of work, Oren explores the concept of flight as a metaphor for freedom. Figures soar through vast, luminous spaces of color and texture, evoking themes of liberation, transformation, and the boundless potential of the human spirit.
Oren uses the diptych format in her paintings to embody the duality of transformation. Surfaces transition from smooth to textured, using dynamic brushwork and sweeping gestures to celebrate the resilience of the human condition. Oren harmonizes color to create the illusion of light and possibility. The works are both intimate and universal, celebrating individuality while inviting collective reflection on the human desire for freedom.
