OPENING NIGHT: Oct 15, 6-9pm. Melted Chicken Photo Shoot: A brisk of pink swoop whoop kind of a movement piece, followed by a reception and a video.
Oct 16, 6-9pm. Box: An endurance piece exploring isolation, intimacy and disappearance.
Oct 17, 6-9pm- 1 2 3 Shoot: a live freaky installation about things we do for fun like shoot people.
Oct 18, 6-9pm. The Artist Is Not Present: so it's your turn to take over. This is collaboration with painter Forrest Williams and you visitors.
Oct 19, 6-9pm. The Coming Out Salon: “Open mic” type of a performance salon about the Liberty of expression. (Artists participants TBA)
Runn Shayo, a multidisciplinary, time based, conceptual artist, will present durational live installations at the chashama storefront gallery October 15 through October 19. These works explore themes of gender, Isolation, intimate proximity, permission and disappearance. The series will kick off Wednesday, Oct 15 at 6pm with a performance followed by a reception and a video screening and will continue October 16, 17, and 18 with three different live installations. The series will conclude Sunday, Oct 19 at 6pm with an open mic conceptual performance art salon starring guest artists who will present work on the theme of “coming out”, the liberty of expression, and emancipation from any type of oppression.

About the Artist
Runn Shayo (b. 1974, Israel) is a Brooklyn based conceptual performance and video artist, an actor, a dancer, and a filmmaker. Recently selected for the IAP NYFA mentoring fellowship program, his solo works have been presented at venues including: Art Market Provincetown, Fleet Moves Festival, Vox Populi, Grizzly Grizzly, Mix Film Festival, Appearances Cape Cod, FLIC Festival, LOIKKA, Finland, among others. Residencies include: The I-Park Moving Image residency, Fleet Moves, Deep Space NACL, Art word Bound Field organization, and Fantasy Generation.
