Garry Nichols: Tasmanian Devil
Collage/Drawing/Painting
presented by Casimir Effect

Tasmanian Devil is an exhibition of new work by Garry Nichols focusing on his large collage drawings derived from observed nature, combined with extensive notebook studies, personal history that covers his life in Tasmania and New York, and miniature size painted drawings that explore his personal narrative, water divining (which he practices) and a wide range of literary subjects he’s been engaged in over the years.

“I seek to envelop and transport the viewers on a spectacular journey, one that evokes a multiplicity of readings. Desiring to suggest the mystery of nature, I depict its wildness and its underlying structure and remind us of human history, what we have done to others and have brought upon ourselves.”   – Garry Nichols
