Takuma Tanaka's paintings are inspired by RAKUGO, a form of traditional Japanese storytelling. One of the stories often told, ATAMA YAMA, is about a man who sprouts a cherry blossom tree from his head.
About the Artist:
Takuma Tanaka studied at Yotsuya Art Studium. He has had solo exhibitions at the Parkview Green Art Shanghai (formerly Jie Art Gallery Shanghai) yearly from 2010 to 2014. His work is part of the Bikura Gallery collection and shown in various public collections, Urawa High School, and Waseda University. He has sold in Bonhams Hong Kong, Art Number One in Taipei, SBI Art Auction in Japan, and Lucanna Auction in Singapore.
