Swap, Pop, & Drop-In. The NYC Fair Trade Coalition Sustainable Fashion Community Center(SFCC) in East Harlem hosts clothing swaps, in-person/virtual workshops, and member-led sales events. Stopping by the SFCC gives you a chance to clean out your closet and pick up new to you threads. Now located on the first floor, check out the UnFair Exhibit: The Story of Consumption, Production, and Un-Sustainable Thinking behind the welcome center. Before you go check out the botanical room and pick up a plant clipping or purchase a new plant baby. Whether you are new to the sustainable fashion game or a seasoned conscious shopper there is something for everyone at the Sustainable Fashion Community Center.

About the Organization

The NYC Fair Trade Coalition is a grassroots organization that promotes fair trade businesses and retailers in New York City and educates consumers on the importance of fair trade. It partners with ethically-aligned businesses, retailers, NGOs, and citizens in New York City to host events and engage the public in dialogue. It offers its members advertising support through its social media channels, coordinates sales events, and fosters networking among ethical and fair trade businesses.
