The Arts Students League and NYC Department of Parks invite you to join them for an exhibition of works by participants of the Seeds of the League youth program from the following centers:

Hunts Point Recreation Center
Herbert Von King Cultural Center
Alfred E. Smith Recreation Center
J. Hood Wright Recreation Center

Launched in 2010, Seeds of the League funds scholarships for youth study at the Art Students League and employs League artists to teach in New York City Parks & Recreation facilities and schools. The partnership provides structured afterschool arts programming where little or no art instruction has previously been available. Children receive high quality studio instruction without having to leave their neighborhoods to travel to the League. The program brings together the young NYC Parks students and the advanced League artists to help one another in their respective artistic paths.
