We’re building a new musical about rebuilding yourself — a show in which machines play the music and people play machines and a young man tries to “upgrade” himself with prosthetic parts until he becomes a robot. And that’s just Act One. Think “Wicked” for geeks. Using dance, imagery, and installation, the “Dance Like A Robot” phase with chashama includes improvisatory explorations of robotic movement, experimenting with the visual look of songs, scenes, and characters, and a Tony Award style montage presentation.
