Music: "Tetrishead" by  Zoe Keating

Pursuant is a piece about the law—about legal and regulatory bodies—about how we impose laws, rules and regulations on our own bodies. The piece explores what happens when one person’s rules are imposed on another, generating a work that is both a compromise and a vacillation between movement qualities.

Accession Number:
Choreography: Katherine Bergstrom
Music: "Clair de Lune" by  Claude Debussy

When an object enters a museum's collection, it is assigned an accession number. This piece explores the (im)possibility of preserving dances and dancers as art objects and considers the importance of individual bodies and physical memories as archives of experience.

About the Choreographers
Hannah Rosner trained in classical ballet and modern at New Haven Ballet in Connecticut before moving to New York, where she performed with Columbia Ballet Collaborative, Orchesis and the Barnard dance department at Columbia University. She trained at the National University for the Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a semester and holds a B.A. in American history from Columbia. Hannah is currently creating new work with Hannah+Lucia.

Lucia Elledge began her dance training at Ballet Chicago, performing as a member of the Ballet Chicago Studio Company for four years. She moved to New York to complete a B.A. in English at Columbia University, where she performed with the Columbia Ballet Collaborative, Barnard Project, and Colab Performing Arts Collective. Lucia is currently creating new work with Hannah+Lucia.

Katherine Bergstrom, originally from Minneapolis, MN, is now a New York City-based dance artist and arts administrator. She graduated cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in Dance and Psychology. Her choreography has been presented throughout New York City and in Paris. She explores the intersections of race, class, gender, and performance as a member of Sydnie L. Mosley Dances. She is a member of Dance/NYC's Junior Committee of young dance advocates and serves as the group's Social Media Communications Coordinator. In October 2013, Katherine launched Point of Contact, an online collection of her dance writing that aims to foster connections between dancers, choreographers, and audiences in New York City.
