The Maltese curator Fabrizio Mifsud Soler once described the art scene in Malta as "a bit of a potluck situation" owing to its vibrant mix of styles and creative impulses. That phrase is now being applied to a much smaller geographic area: BAT B of chashama's studios at the Brooklyn Army Terminal. Potluck Situation is a curated two day pop-up show featuring five chashama artists: Alberte Bernier, Suyeon Na, Maia Cruz Palileo, Kristin Reed, and S Wrenn. Working across diverse mediums, these five artists share studio space under the same roof and all pursue their own unique and richly textured creative visions. Echoing the festive, impromptu, high energy nature of a potluck gathering, this show takes over studio B23 for two days only and transforms it into a visual feast. During chashama’s Open Studios event at the Brooklyn Army Terminal, stop by studio B23 for a taste of this Potluck Situation!
