New Camerata Opera
A live performance of favorite opera excerpts by NYC’s most exciting young company. New Camerata Opera’s principal soloists will offer serenades of some of the greatest musical masterpieces ever written, including works by Verdi, Puccini and Mozart. The singers will be accompanied by live piano, as pedestrians and fans of opera alike enjoy a March evening, heated with operatic passion!

New Camerata Opera stages operas in immersive styles in daring venues, creates intimate concerts and chamber performances, produces newly commissioned video operas designed for YouTube and social media distribution, and adapts original works for children designed to engage them and enrich their education at libraries and schools.
NCO was co-founded by eight singers in 2016. The singers comprise the artistic committee and make all programming and administrative decisions by vote. We have invited audiences to enjoy opera at intimate Manhattan penthouses, alluring night clubs, and at one of NYC’s most recognizable off-off Broadway venues, The Flea Theater. NCO’s bold vision has led to praise from New York critics as “the future of opera” and “undeniably first rate.”
