Artist Statement:
Was this made in the USA? What does that even mean? And why is being a good person so expensive?

Today’s shoppers care about more than just style. At WILBy we know that balancing price, style and ethics isn’t easy. The POP UP (ethical) SWEATSHOP invites visitors to browse by style, price and ethical consideration. And come see how things are made while you buy them!

We created THE (local) SWEATSHOP because caring can be confusing. Because we all care about locally sourced goods, made from up-cycled materials, produced in the USA at a fair wage in good conditions without ignoring the needs of those in the developing world, and the women and communities that can only improve their life conditions with opportunities that come through new jobs and fair wages for their crafts produced with materials that are organic, use natural dyes, that don’t produce high carbon footprints to get to our doorstep all at an affordable price without compromising on style. Because giving a shit can get expensive. Because there is no right answer. Because you deserve to know.

This Fashion Week you decide what goes into your bag. Browse our menu of work conditions, various prices, work conditions, and styles. Come see what Made In America Looks like. no judgments, only the style, price and ethics that work best for you.
