PLEXUS (no.4) is the fourth installment in an event series that stimulates conversation and connection in the Upper Manhattan community. we host speakers from all disciplines who share their work with an audience of peers.

melodie provenzano is a New York City based artist, represented by Lyons Wier Gallery in NYC and Goya

Contemporary in Baltimore. she is primarily focused on composing still lifes and rendering them from observation, however her creativity spills into a variety of artistic endeavors, including my musical pseudonym "Connie Acher," stop motion videos, illustrations and commissions for private collectors and fashion companies. buster brown is a student at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism from Charleston, South

Carolina whose articles have been published in local newspapers in Charleston, Washington D.C., and New York City.

 

michael farmer: I try to paint every day. it makes me feel good. I love the smell of it. sometimes it’s meditative. when I get into that state and the paints flowing and its buttery, that’s when I am most content. when I come to and realize what has just happened. brett zweiman: I am a New York based musician who plays with many different projects of varying genres. my solo

work tends to be ambient, ethereal, meditative, and droney. my artistic goals are to take myself and the listener on a journey that organically shifts from a massive drone into something rhythmic that inspires movement of some sort, even if it is just the brain that is dancing.
