About Chashama:
Chashama helps create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive world by partnering with property owners to transform unused real estate into artist workspace, presentation space and space for free art classes for under-resourced communities.
Over the past 26 years our organization has transformed unused space for 30,000 artists, hosted 4,000 public art events, provided 1,500 free art classes in under-served communities, and reached audiences of over a million. Each year we present 130 events, offer workspace for 180 artists, and provide 120 free workshops with an audience of over 10,000.
