Ooh Baby by Anika features paintings, hand painted clothing, and accessories created solely by Anika. Each piece in the store will be a one of one item using mediums such as spray paint, acrylic, airbrush, and a sewing machine! During this year long exhibition you will find Anika sewing or painting right on the spot during store hours.

About the Small Business:

Anika Ignozzi is a 24 year old self taught artist specializing in textile work and abstract paintings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ooh Baby By Anika was created in 2018 after she dropped out of medical school to pursue her artistic passion. As art school wasn’t a financially doable option, she began teaching herself how to sew paintings onto garments. A trademark of Ooh Baby Style is the zany bright colored monster characters that resemble humans in cartoon form. Self Expression was a key factor in creating this wearable art. Anika noticed when she wears hand painted clothing, it creates positive dialogue with strangers and helps build up confidence, all of which can lead to opportunity. Anika’s wearable art has been seen on celebrities Bebe Rexha, Norah Jones, Wyatt Oleff, Ski Mask the Slump God, Justin Quiles, Jhay Cortez and many more. Ooh Baby started from a small street side weekend pop-up to her own store in Pittsburgh from September 2020-2021 and now to the Greenwich Village location starting March 19th 2022- 2023.
