"Math Time was developed by experimenting with formal movement constraints, mathematical concepts, still pictures, numbers and diagrams in order to create a series of highly-focused spatial “happenings,” evoking imagery that is at once cellular, personal and political. Oscillating between the chaotic and the painstakingly calculated, this work for six dancers examines the complexities of human relationships amidst a shifting, experiential grid. Moving to a digital soundscape, the dancers react to the developing space with idiosyncratic, regimented movements, carving pathways within clearly-delineated boundaries. The result of this sometimes terrifying, sometimes tender construct is surprisingly personal and human.'' - by Emily Skillings, poet
