Liberty in the Forest is an exhibition of mixed media paintings and installation by Jae Kyung Kim. Her paintings are a visceral expression of her thoughts and emotions. Her drawings and paintings explore the themes of fantastic nature. She uses her instinctive rhythym through brush strokes creating many lines, and combining them with vivid color to convey the energetic shape of organic, pure, and impulsive feelings about the vibrancy of life.

This exhibition includes works recently completed in Kim's light drenched Brooklyn studio. Assembled on a wall with fifty pieces of paper and board, Liberty reflects Kim's desire of being free on her thoughts within society. Kim wishes to share this feeling through the artwork, with all who happen to pass chashama's window space in Midtown.
