Ingrid Ludt’s work honors the shapes and patterns of nature. Her source materials are roots, rocks, and organic matter observed and collected from the lakes and forests of Upstate New York. Ludt deconstructs and distills these materials in an art making process that mimics natural cycles. Her installations incorporate various mixed media and sculptural parts, which are unified through the use of repetition, color and form.
