What began as an exploration of Female Hysteria historic and contemporary has grown to become a study on objectification and the female form. Witness these women behind glass in a storefront on 37th Street as they "perform hysteria" past and present.
BIO
Dara Malina is a Brooklyn based director with a passion for physical theatre, new plays, and silent performance. Her theatre company, Inverted Hermit, recently performed these projects: I Love Dead Things (Dixon Place), Les boudoirs des deux femmes—an original performance art piece (chashama; Bushwick SITE Fest), Plight of the Apothecary (BAX), Barnaby by Liza Birkenmeier (Winner Best Show, BoCoCa Arts Festival). She graduated with a BA in Drama from Washington University in St. Louis where she received the John J Jutkowitz Prize in the Performing Arts.
