About the Artist

Paton Miller was born in Seattle in 1953 and raised in Hawaii. His father was a pilot, and his mother was a chemist. Miller began his career at an early age and traveled extensively finding a wide array of influence for his subject matter. Made up of rich and vibrant layers, Miller’s work features allegorical narratives of mythological figures, both modern and primitive. His paintings emerge from a creative ecosystem in his Southampton studio where new pieces can emerge out of unexpected collages from old and new works. Miller has had over 25 solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group shows both here in the U.S. and abroad. Miller’s work is featured in myriad important private collections and museums. Paton Miller lives and works in Southampton, New York.
