Getting to know a Stranger

Saturday 4th February 2012, 1.00 pm – 2.00pm
Teacher: Genevieve White
Class: “Getting to know a Stranger”

In this class, we will work two by two in an active workshop.  It will be an hour class, in which facing each other we will find a partner and take ten minutes to draw each other's portrait in pencil on paper.  We will then exchange it so one can keep each other's drawing.  We will then write a poem to the other person and take a photograph of each other with our cell phone and send it via email directly.  By trying to connect through creative spontaneous means, we will try to get to know each other through the interactive mediums of drawing, writing and photography. Hopefully, this interaction will be educational and also a way to meet and connect to new artists, engaging and expanding a community and a conversation through creative and simple means.
