Ricky Sears and G:Class, the New Museum of Contemporary Art's high school program, are proud to announce the opening reception for the exhibition, Our Space, on March 29. This installation is a collaboration between artist Ricky Sears and students from the Beacon School. Our Space looks at such themes as space, environment, identity, time, and memory. The young artists present work that investigates how our bodies occupy space and time in different built environments.
Featured artists: Noah Baker, Sam Brandis-Dann, Casey Brander, Maeve Carver, Betty Collins, Maeve County, Tali Feder, Christian Fernandez, John Hackett, Nathanael Kooperkamp, Emma Kohlman, Alex Krales, Maggie Lugano, Britania Mallol, Bridget Malloy, Andre Mastrogiacomo, Anna Novum-Gross, Elizabeth Reices, Clare Robins, Andrew Shen, Ricky Sears, Rachel Strausberg, Sara Wyer.
The G:Class Project was made possible through the generosity of The Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation, the Bloomingdale's Fund of the Federated Department Stores Foundation, the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation, the New York City Department of Cultural Affirs, and through endowed education support from the William Randolph Hearst Foundation and JPMorgan Chase.
