echo/chamber
ECHOensemble

An echo is created, repeated and transformed in free play with Space and Time.

echo/chamber is an immersive installation-performance, and an evolving architecture of movement and sound. It is a resonance of the place and time it occupies, living through bodies and acoustic vibrations.

About ECHOensemble
ECHOensemble comes together in an awareness-based practice of repetition and evolution called SHIFT, born from Mary Overlie’s Viewpoints, Steve Reich’s “process music”, and Pauline Oliveros’ Deep Listening, and years of messy research. Their public debut occurred at Dixon Place in January 2019, with the premiere of their evening-length work One. They have performed for the CREST Festival at Teatro Latea, NYC; Basement Gallery in Bushwick; and in residence at Dragon’s Egg in Mystic, CT. Individually, they are award-winning, internationally-touring musicians, dancers, composers and choreographers.
