NEW YORK, NY –March 1, 2014 – chashama invites the greater New York City area to visit a group of artists at the West Midtown subsidized studio program.

Participating artists include: Suejin Jo, Seunghwui Koo, Haeji Oh, Jin-kang Park, Gregory Russell and Atanaska Tassart

For one weekend only, guests can tour the studios, meet the artists, and view their current works. Concurrently on view is an exhibition of participating artists curated by Gregory Russell located at 266 West 37th Street.

chashama, which means "to have vision" in Farsi, nurtures artists by transforming unused property into affordable work and presentation space. We partner with artists, performers, and youth and community organizations in New York City to provide opportunities for creativity to flourish. Our programs strengthen both the communities that benefit from the influx of new ideas, and the artists whose work they support.
