Syncretic Pleasures is pleased to present the world premiere of A pretty good future, a multi-sensory interactive installation-performance, constructed as an immersive environment and invites viewers to navigate a network of intimate domains composed of mixed structures, visual and aural elements. Within this fabricated world, visitors discover augmented realities and experience otherworldly encounters. Taking as the premise destruction of the familiar and the need for a re-invented social system, the artists investigate identity and models of utopia, from Renaissance creations to science fiction projections.

The artists depart from a review of a few unstable realities: the AIDS crisis; war, oppression and violence; the very current economic environment. They also look at notions of comfort and denial in the present consumerist society. A pretty good future asks us: What if it all suddenly vanished and re-appeared, remixed?
